My name is Juliusz Kruszelnicki. I am a Research Scientist at the Tokyo Electron - America Corporation, based in Portland, Oregon. Previously, I served in the same role at KLA Corporation in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I graduated from Prof. Mark Kushner's group at the University of Michigan with a Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering in May 2021. I received my B. Sc. degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Florida in 2015.
My research interests lie in computational solutions to complex physical systems. Currently, I am working on integrating Machine Learning, Monte Carlo, kinetic and fluid approaches to model plasma etching of semiconductors. During my Ph.D., I studied low-temperature plasma chemical systems, including plasma catalysis and plasma-liquid interactions.
Prior experiences include x-ray/solid matter interactions, safety and failure analysis of nuclear systems, plasma/EM wave interactions, thermal and neutronic analysis of composite and annular nuclear fuels, and plasma discharges in complex geometries. I work primarily on Fortran and Python codes, but have experience with C++, Matlab, Mathematica, MCNP (X,5,6), MicroShield, SIMULATE3, CASMO4e, SCALE, ABAQUS, AutoCAD, and EES.
